Masks for Small Organizations

If you only need 5-10 masks then wholesale masks really are not economical for you. For wholesale there are companies selling simple masks with logos printed for $5-$6 a mask. They are pretty simple ones, not lovely elastic cord or lycra band with toggles. They ususally only allow one size per order and have a 200 mask minimum. I am perfectly capable and willing to put your logo in heat transfer vinyl on whatever color mask you prefer or like. The cheapest options are black or white logo on a solid fabric such as black, navy, charcoal, steel, pale pink, light aqua, white, cream… I have plenty of all of those solids. A simple stripe or dot mask with a logo runs very inexpensive as well. It’s slightly more if you want a print and can get a bit pricier if you want a very specific fabric but again you can order as few as you like in as many sizes as you want with any combo of tie you want available.

Here are a few examples from a company that chose simple polished masks for meetings but a fun print for a bit of pizazz.

Another company chose to stick with navy and grey for most uses but decided to spring for a few in this gorgeous Ombre fabric for those times when some style just feels right. Masks with logos on them range from $10-$14 each for most fabric and tie options. You can choose specialty options that increase the price such as custom fabric choices that cost more or upgrading to specialized metal toggles or even shaped or golden or silver toggles. These upgrades are ususally chosen for many businesses but depending the market you cater too the few extra dollars to really look professional are definitely worth it.

This is for an IT company in Texas. If you are in need of data recovery or other services they are in the Conroe area but have many services that are provided off site virtually as well. You can check them out HERE.

Decorating of a bathroom

We’re working hard on the girls bathroom this weekend. I don’t like the paint, or the tile, or the counters LOL but I don’t have budget currently to gut a bathroom or even repaint fully …. my best idea is to work with what’s there are add things I DO like until the parts I do NOT like work for me. It’s actually coming out pretty nice and pretty little money spent. No large difficult projects to pull it all off.

We have placed fun quotes on the mirror, added lovely sea shells to the counter…

Even the drawers have been labeled, You should know where the Whosits, Whatsits, Gadgets, Ghizmos and Thingamabobs go! (the last is in the jar on the counter.. also labeled.

I painted this fun board that will soon have a quote and added a towel hook. that HUGE empty frame will have art that I will soon share. The three girls as MERMAIDS!

No panic Pandemic

To say this year has been hard is the biggest understatement one could ever make. The amount of change inflicted on everyone globally is simply astounding. People have been placed out of work, children were barred from their school buildings, everything shifted to online ordering and pickup. But, the biggest change to hit us personally aside from doing teletherapy times SEVENTEEN appointments per week between all of the children, is WORK FROM HOME….

Now I have always worked from home. And schooled my children from home. But as much as I love my husband learning to incorporate HIM working from home too fulltime while still doing all of our other needed daily activities (school, therapy, cooking, cleaning, editing, sewing….) this has been interesting.

For a time we threw him out on the porch to work. Because these children are impossible to keep on schedule with added distraction and seeing him and his stuff was a distraction of epic proportion here. Oh the joy the toddlers have had any time they have managed to “work’ some of his work. They want to touch his shit so bad they can’t even see strait.

Then the weather turned on us. the lovely breezes parted to make way for sweltering heat and repetitive storms. So alas we moved him and his work into the basement game room. This room doubles as Kolby’s bedroom. This has been complicated. Kolby likes his space. He shares it during family gaming times like playing pool or air hockey or doing a Lego build on the Lego wall without issue because we are all actively engaging. He is fine with that…. But he is NOT fine with hanging out upstairs during a whole work day so his dad can quietly do meetings and paperwork.

Oh the times he has yelled, “Is He done YET!” “Can I just go downstairs?” “Why is he in my room?” And he’s super great about having these yelling moments specifically during the baby’s nap time.

SOLUTION?

Not truly sure I have one. But currently one thing I am trying to work towards is a space for him that protects his things and gives him a quiet spot in the day without taking anyone else’s space. Well not not ANYONE else’s I am giving up my one quiet spot to ever escape to. The crib is coming down today. the baby and Kel will now be roomies. We setup a lovely low loft with a mattress under it to keep the baby safely floor level. He isn’t currently using it, he’s still refusing but efforts will continue.

As for the desk space. I found this on marketplace and offered $50 (a bit under asking) and some paint, some ingenuity and such and this is going to match my shabby chic bedroom, hold all his shit in perfect organization (that I will have to setup myself cause this MF can’t organize a drawer to save his fucking life) My OCD simply can’t handle an unorganized mess inside my room so I will make it very very “SET”

I will show photos as it’s completed. It’s going to be fantastic. And I will attempt to cope with this long term situation. His work basically has no plans to be face to face again anytime soon and these children are losing their shit. Cross your fingers that

As I typed this up I had to stop and walk away to break up a fight over literally nothing that unreasonably escalated to to a screaming match between Kel and Kwyn during one of Jason’s important meetings and the baby’s nap. I truly must get things ready to do some home reno this next year. if work from home becomes permanent we MUST have a dedicated sound proofed office. We gonna lock that MF and never let a child see inside and never ever tell them it exists. Out of sight out of mind and all that. If they THINK he’s gone maybe my children will stop acting like feral beasts during business hours.
